Crib Wall at Chifley Drive, Maribyrnong - Final Stage
Maribyrnong City Council Environmental Sustainability Community Grant 12/13
We have been working on this site for many years, and this is the final stage to complete the weed control and revegetate the last section of this man made wall. Invasive weeds will be removed using best practice methods by our environmental contractor, and indigenous plants will increase the biodiversity values of the area. Photos from previous works are in our picture gallery, and as works progress during the project more will be added.
Environmental Friends of Brimbank Community Brochure
Brimbank Council Community Strengthening Grant 12/13
This project is the creation of a Joint Environmental Brochure, showcasing each of the existing friends of ... groups.
The brochure will help promote Friends groups in Brimbank, by presenting information regarding groups, increase awareness about the environment and aims to increase membership to individual groups.

Melbourne Water River Health Incentives Program 2013

Revegetation of the Maribyrnong River Floodplain – Stage 6
Melbourne Water River Health Incentives Program 2013
This area starts at Steel Creek and continues to the Canning Street Tea Gardens. We will continue weed control and planting and undertake direct seeding on this site also. Serrated Tussock & Chilean Needle Grass Control Project – Stage 2
PPWCMA community Grants Program 12/13
This project is to remove and poison over a 12 month period regionally controlled weeds in the Maribyrnong Valley Parklands and to stop further encroachment in the old remnant vegetation sites. This project will continue from the Stage 1 site to move further along the parklands.
Thompson Reserve Garden Bed, Avondale Heights
Moonee Valley City Council – Environmental Grants 11/12
This project had weed control and planting during 2012 and in the New Year we will continue our work with the Avondale Primary School to maintain and expand this project.

Youth Community Days
Melbourne Water Ambassador Program 2013
This funding allows us to provide 2 community days at Pipemakers Park for the youth from the Maribyrnong area to explore and be informed on the environment in the region.
Boxthorn Removal, Tea Gardens Avondale Heights
DSE Communities for Nature Grant 12/13
This site is adjacent to sites we have been removing noxious weeds from over the past couple of years. By working closely with Moonee Valley Council this grant will enable us to have removed Boxthorn from this area and this will aid in controlling the spread of the weed to areas already treated.
Serrated Tussock/Chilean Needle Grass Control Stage 2 Avondale Heights
DSE Communities for Nature Grant 12/13
This project will continue on from last year’s work in the Maribyrnong Valley Parklands and will enhance the work we are undertaken in direct seeding and revegetation of this area of the Parklands.
