FMV is considering the reality of extending the scope of the current list (below) really applies only to the area of the Afton Street Conservation Park. We are seeking to find the level of support for extending the range to extend from, say, Westgate to Sunbury and the range to include all major groups of plants and animals. It is acknowledged that such a project would be beyond the capacity and expertise of FMV members but with collaboration of specialist groups in the area, could be a reality.

It could not be expected to be comprehensive but FMV could be at the heart of open ended checklist that included observed species of interest or of note occurring in the Maribyrnong Valley. Feedback to John Upsher please.
