Melbourne Water:  River Health Incentives Programs for 2018;

 

1.     Lily Street Wetlands Escarpment Restoration - Stage 10:

This stage of the project will continue the weed control program and planting of trees and grasses.

This project is supported again this year by NAB corporates volunteers.

 

2.    Burndap Park, Edgewater, Maribyrnong Stage 1:

 We have received funds for understory planting at this site to enhance and continue our planting we started under the Greening of the West Program with Maribyrnong City Council.

3.    Woodlands Site - Warrick Court Avondale Heights:

This is the first year Melbourne Water have supported us on this site. This weed control and planting program is on the site we have been working with PPWCMA in the past.

 

Brimbank City Council

We have received full funding for our 2018 project with Keilor Primary School, the Connies and the Wurundjeri Indigenous Cultural Education officers at Caroline Chisholm Reserve, Keilor.


We also support the National Tree Day planting in Sydenham Park. National Tree Day is the only day we are allowed on the restricted site so bring along the family and enjoy the fun of the day.

 

 

Maribyrnong City Council

Our MCC grant for 2018 has been partly funded for a printed version of the

MARIBYRNONG SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENT GUIDE.

When copies are available we will let everyone know.

Tuesday working bees at Pipemakers Park in Van Ness Ave. Maribyrnong will continue this year.

The Maidstone Riparian Site off Lacy Street and the Braybrook Escarpment Site off Sedge Close will have planting and maintenance this year once Melbourne Water has completed their noxious weeds removal.

Moonee Valley City Council

We work at the Tea Gardens Car Park site, the Ed Garden site, Canning Street Reserve and at other locations as required. All of these sites will have our Wednesday working bees doing maintenance and tree planting.
